A Sporting Adventure for a Good Cause
A GRR2 Challenge for the Dogs of Indie's World
In Mauritius, many dogs are still living in extremely difficult conditions. Abandoned, injured, sick, or born on the streets, countless dogs need care, medical attention, and above all, a place where they can finally feel safe.
These are the dogs Indie’s World fights for every single day.
Our association rescues and cares for dogs who deserve a second chance. Behind every rescue, there is food, medical care, veterinary treatments, sometimes major surgeries… but also the need to provide a suitable environment where they can recover and gradually find peace and stability.
And today, we need your help to go even further.
🐾 Every step for them. Every donation for a second chance.
To support this cause, a family decided to take on a challenge: hiking the GRR2 trail across Réunion Island, one stage at a time, while turning their adventure into a fundraising campaign.
Throughout this multi-day journey, every kilometre covered was dedicated to the 260 dogs of Indie’s World.
But beyond this hiking adventure lies a very real project that we hope to bring to life with your support:
Building a Proper Quarantine Facility at the Shelter
When a new dog arrives at the shelter, we don’t always know its health condition. Puppies, stray dogs, injured dogs, or dogs that have been in contact with other animals need to be isolated, monitored, and treated before joining the others.
That is why we have started building a dedicated quarantine area, inspired by our existing medical care facility.
Three separate enclosures have already been built, but construction is far from complete. We now need funds to finish the remaining enclosures and fully equip this new area.
It will allow us to accommodate separately:
🐾 Sick dogs or dogs recovering from illness or surgery;
🐾 Newly rescued dogs whose health condition is unknown;
🐾 Puppies requiring special monitoring;
🐾 Dogs needing medical care or a period of observation.
Three enclosures are already in place. Help us build the rest 🤍
🐾 Your Donation Will Help Build This Facility
The funds raised through this campaign will directly help us complete the construction and setup of the new quarantine area.
Your donations will help cover:
- construction of the remaining enclosures
- setting up each enclosure to provide suitable living conditions for every dog
- Essential equipment to ensure their safety and comfort
- Medical care and other needs related to their recovery and well-being
Every donation brings us one step closer to completing this quarantine facility.
A small donation may not seem like much. But together, many small contributions can transform a simple space into a safe haven for the dogs who need it most 🤍
You can support this adventure in several ways.
🐾 Make a donation, even just a few euros.
📲 Share this fundraising campaign with your friends and family.
❤️ Spread the word about Indie’s World and the situation of stray dogs in Mauritius.
Every donation helps protect a life. Together, let’s build their new quarantine facility.
Thank you for walking alongside us ❤️
