Indie’s World is a shelter where every day is a battle and a victory for the dogs rescued from Mauritius. Behind every rescue is a committed team: Cindy and Malika, the passionate founders, a team of dedicated employees, and volunteers from all over the world who provide care, walks, rehabilitation and cuddles.
Together, we give these injured dogs a second chance, in a place where love and commitment guide every action.

On December 17, 2017, by the side of a road in the middle of a forest, this denuded, exhausted puppy, covered in motor oil that was burning his skin, was found. He was fighting to survive, unaware that a helping hand would soon change his destiny.
Thanks to the care and love she received, her skin healed and her strength returned. In her eyes now shines the hope of a new life that has only just begun.
Playful and affectionate, Indie is the embodiment of hope. He is living proof that every fight is worth fighting, inspiring every newcomer to the shelter to believe in a second chance.
A glance exchanged, a shiver of emotion, and the obvious becomes clear. This fragile little creature, in search of warmth and comfort, cuddles up to Cindy’s neck. From that moment on, they become one.
She cares for him, feeds him, offers him the love he’s been deprived of. On vacation in Mauritius, his sister Malika, touched by the story, said, “If he makes it, he’ll be a real Indiana Jones.” His destiny was set, his first name was found: Indie. And with him was born more than just a story, a real mission… that of Indie’s World.

Rescuing a puppy, then a dog, then another… Soon, this became Cindy’s daily routine. “Each one is unique. With each one, a special bond is created,” she confides. Some arrive broken, hungry, scarred by suffering. Some, too weak, die out despite all our care. Others, against all odds, come back to life and finally discover the sweetness they deserve. For Cindy, none of them should be left behind. It was this conviction that led her to create Indie’s World: a refuge, a hope, a second chance for those who no longer had one.
